Hi there! We meet again with another new gather town design portfolio post as I said before. After the Sequence space from Europe, now we go to a global crypto brand called Coinstore. It’s not my first time working with crypto-related brand, we have LBank and Arweave before.
This client contact me through email, they might be come from website, so hello there if you see this portfolio post! Their representative called Starry contact me and they said they need a space for their crypto event. After discussing the base requirements and showing some of my previous project, they said that they really like the LBank space combined with some futuristic vibes here and there.
About the project
They said that they actually tried to make the space by themselves, but turns out to be overwhelming by the process. So they decided to find somebody that know about Gather Town map well. Without further a do, I start to make the space. Somehow I don’t make the blueprint floorplan like I used to do before. Maybe because of the tight deadline they have. So I can’t show you the floorplan for this portfolio post.
The space itself is quite simple actually. They want the space to be divided into several room, to make each area more private and not disturbed by what’s going on the main stage. We have main area (lobby, exhibition, and main stage), 2 kart arena, 2 poster rooms, social room, and games room. More than just a bunch of room, they make some interactive airdrop event to find hidden object to get some rewards.
Further improvement
In my opinion, for an interactive space, we can stretch it forward to give more activity on the space, like placing post-it using Padlet, adding NPC interaction, video poster, or event giving some hidden clue on the video poster. Gather could be flexible with interactive object. We can work with Google Form, Google Slide, video, PDF, image, you name it. As long as the website is embeddable, we can place it as object and people could access it directly on Gather. If not, you can place external link instead. For example, if you want to make people register to your platform, you can add your registration form to an object to enhance it. That’s cool right? Overall, the project went very well, and the client is very satisfied with the result, they also give a testimonial about it. Main Usage : Medium sized event space
Areas : One space that divided into 7 rooms. Which is lobby-exhibition-main stage, 2 kart arena, 2 poster rooms, social room, and game room.
Space Wide : 80×80 tiles for the overall map.
Map Style : Outer space with purple color and dark vibes.
Space Capacity : Can be for around 100 participants.
